It was a multiple case study which was conducted at four institutions, namely; Rusangu University, Cavendish University, National Institute for Public Administration and Evelyn Hone College. From the four institutions, a sample size of 8 respondents was purposively selected and these included 2 records managers from each institution. Observations were made and it was discovered that these institutions lack enough funding from the government also there are too much misplacements of records in institutions. Therefore, it has been suggested that the government should allocate more funds to these institutions and also organize some training programs that can assist to curb the problem of loosing records.
