Abstract

Although, electronic records management has become an essential business activity, in academic learning institutions, pupils and teachers are increasingly facing challenges of creating and accessing electronic documents, course materials, on-line assessments, e-mails,

and research databases. Teachers have indicated that poor electronic records management is on the rise in secondary schools and this could lead to delay in decision making, poor communication, and pupils missing classes, and missing of results (Ololube, 2011). Little is yet known about the management of pupil’s electronic records in most of the secondary schools in Zambia hence, this study investigated the management of pupils’ electronic records using Kabulonga Boys Secondary School in Lusaka District as a case study.
